Activities

La Herradura offers many social and extra-curricular activities that suit a wide range of budgets and tastes.  Students can make the most of their time in Spain, socialise with other students, practice their Spanish on the locals, learn about the history and culture of the area, and have a go at different sports and activities.

Typically we visit a place of interest in the local area, such as the castle in Almuñecar, prehistoric caves in Nerja, go together to eat or drink something typical of the area, watch a movie or play a game together in Spanish, practice an adventure sport such as canyoning or kayaking, or go for a weekend away in a city or the country in Spain or neighbouring Morocco.

All prices are quoted in Euros and approximated.

A: Free activities

The following activities are free, or in the case of food and drink nights, we share the costs between the group or each person pays for their own drinks.  Students will be accompanied by someone from the school, normally one of the teachers, and the activities last about an hour and a half:

C: Excursions

The following activities take up a bit more time and money, because they involve travelling outside of the local area or using special equipment or vehicles for some of the adventure sports.  They usually take place at the weekends.

B: Outdoors activities

The following activities have a cost of between 5 and 15 Euros, unless stated otherwise (the costs shown are approximate, and depend on the type of activity, including whether an instructor or special equipment is needed).  They usually take place during the week after classes and last between 1 and three hours.
